Privacy policy

The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads nothing from third parties. If you email us, we use what you send only to reply. We never sell personal information.

01Who we are

This policy covers almagesta.ai (the “site”), operated by Almagesta (“Almagesta,” “we,” “us”), based in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Questions can go to ivana@almagesta.ai.

02What we collect

• Information you send us. If you email us or request a briefing, we receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to include, such as your company, role, or the workflow you want to discuss.
• Technical logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver this site automatically record standard request data: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, referring page, and time of access. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

We do not use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or embedded third-party content. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain. Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, are governed by those sites’ own policies once you follow them.

03How we use it

• To reply to you, schedule briefings, and carry on a business conversation you started.
• To keep the site secure and working, including detecting abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles, and we do not make automated decisions about you. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland: we process your information on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and operating a secure website, or, where you ask us to take steps before entering a contract, to take those steps.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is used in California law. We disclose it only:

• To service providers who act on our behalf, specifically our website hosting provider and our email provider, under terms that limit their use of the data.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Almagesta or others.
• As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy’s protections.

05How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as needed for the conversation and any resulting business relationship, and then for a reasonable period for our records, generally no more than three years after our last contact unless a longer period is legally required. Hosting providers keep technical logs for a limited period under their own retention schedules.

06Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Depending on where you live, including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California, and other US states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, such as data portability or the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

07International visitors

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

08Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections and collects no information through forms. We limit access to correspondence to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold.

09Customer and manufacturing data

This policy covers the website and general correspondence only. Data shared with us in a customer engagement, including manufacturing, quality, or batch records, is never collected through this site and is governed by a separate written agreement with each customer.

10Children

This site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

11Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If we begin using cookies or analytics, this policy will say so before we do.
